Here’s my personal review on the Dom Reserve Salmon Poke. It is frozen and you’re supposed to let it thaw overnight. I didn’t realize that and so I just used the defrost option on my microwave and defrosted it for 1 minute on each side. Then let it sit out on the counter for about an hour to come to room temperature. I didn’t like the Salmon Poke at first because I had tried it as is and the marinade was way too lemony. But then I added some Sriracha mayo, Poke sauce and Roasted Sesame Seeds which made it better. I don’t recommend eating it as is. It definitely needs a sauce ! It looks as if it is one whole piece of salmon but it actually breaks off into little pieces which is great for Poke Bowls !

I had some of the Roasted Seaweed Snacks from Costco and just filled it with some of the ingredients from my Poke bowl. I had made little sushi rolls and found that it is the best way to eat Salmon poke ! I had placed the sheet of seaweed in my hand, then added some Jasmine rice, the Salmon Poke, some sriracha mayo, a little bit of Poke sauce, some roasted sesame seeds then a slice of cucumber. I didn’t have any avocado at home otherwise I’d add some as well. Then I just rolled it up in my hand and ate it ! 🙂

Definitely not as good as fresh but not bad for frozen. Didn’t like the lime in the marinade but it was better with mayo Sriracha sauce, a bit of poke sauce and a sprinkle of roasted sesame seeds .
